I have just completed an update to my site to include more images per gallery and also to add three new galleries.
I have also changed the way that I display my images. I am using a Javascript called lightbox by Lokesh Dhakar which dims the screen and displays the image in the centre. It is really neat and helps to focus attention on the image without the distraction of other screen elements.
I have been an active photographer for more than 30 years and my main area of interest is in abstract close-ups. I spend much of my time in the Lake District, where I get most of the inspiration for my photographic images. I am an active member of Edinburgh Photographic Society.

Disappearing images
I added the W3C logo to my pages to verify that my code validated.
One day I noticed that the logos were not displaying. All other images on the pages were OK and my browser setting were OK.
On further investigation, when I viewed the source code using Firefox, the code for the logo was missing (not displayed). I checked the files on my server and they were of course OK.
Any thoughts on this phenomenon would be most appreciated.
